The RSPB Maidstone Local Group - About our Group |
||||||
The RSPB Maidstone Local Group was formed in the early 1970's by a dedicated few and over the last 35+ years membership has steadily grown to approximately 200 members. They include both novice and experienced birdwatchers and those with a general wildlife and conservation interest.
Our objectives are:
The group holds Indoor meetings every third Thursday in the month at the Grove Green Community Hall, Penhurst Close, Grove Green, Maidstone starting at 7:30pm.
Monthly Outdoor Field Trips are organised and led by an experienced leader able to help you spot and identify new birds and introduce you to new locations about the County and further afield.
We have 'Hands On' conservation days when you can come along and help the warden at an RSPB reserve.
We hold fund raising and sales events.
